Like Tupac Shakur, Anthony Bourdain frequently likes to ride on his enemies. I’m not sure how genuine Tony’s intentions are, I sometimes think he makes these comments to stir things up. This time it appears that he gets on his knees and pays homage to his old school masters at the Food Network. He posted this guest entry on on a blog.
Some of my favorite quotes from the postings are:
Him calling Emeril ” He will probably be the last of the Real Chefs.”
On Rachel Ray “She’s selling us satisfaction, the smug reassurance that mediocrity is quite enough. She’s a friendly, familiar face who appears regularly on our screens to tell us that “Even your dumb, lazy ass can cook this!” Wallowing in your own crapulence on your Cheeto-littered couch you watch her and think, “Hell…I could do that. I ain’t gonna…but I could–if I wanted!”
Sandra Lee “I would likely be arrested if I suggested on television that any children watching should promptly go to a wooded area with a gun and harm themselves.”
